To check Tenant’s eligibility to apply for a guarantor through the Guarantors.ca Website, we require all Tenants to submit certain pieces of Personal Information. This includes but not limited to the submission of the Tenant’s date of birth, driver’s license, current address of residence, first name, last name, email address, phone number, contact details of the Tenant’s landlord, the most current credit score, proof of income, address of employment, and contact details of the employing company or individual. The Guarantor would need to provide their full name, phone number, date of birth, driver’s license, current address of residence, first name, last name, email address, phone number, the most current credit score and proof of income.

By providing this information to Guarantors.ca, via application forms on the Website, or to any member of staff via email, you are giving express consent for us to use this information as needed. Private information is collected and distributed subject to applicable privacy and other legislation in Canada.

 

Guarantors.ca may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your age and gender. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

Guarantors.ca provides Tenant with the Guarantor’s information limited to the following: Guarantor’s first and last name, current address of residence, current address of employment, email address, telephone number, credit score, and proof of income. This information is only shared with the Tenant if consent is provided by the Guarantor during the online application process.

 

What Information is Automatically Collected?

 

While using the Website, Guarantors.ca will automatically gather information necessary for the function and operation of our services such as information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include but is not limited to a User’s address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Guarantors.ca website.

  • to process payment for Services;

  • to investigate and resolve inaccuracies in the information we have obtained;

  • to provide, maintain, and improve the Service and the Website;

  • to monitor, review and improve customer service and internal business processes;

  • to audit or investigate the use of our products and Services, and to detect, investigate and prevent fraud or other illegal activities;

  •  to track and analyze trends and usage of the Services and the Website;

  • to offer and provide product and services;

  • to investigate or to assist in the investigation of: (a) contravention of a law and/or fraudulent activities; or (b) violations of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use;
